Some state registries maintain small staffs, have manual files or require a manual release form, resulting in longer turnaround times. Q: If an adult and child abuse registry is not available for my state, what is my alternative?
A: State sex offender registries or the National Sex Offender Public Registry are your next area to search for child and adult abuse offenders. Additional state and county criminal searches may also report abuse cases not available in those registries.
